Melissa Suzanne George hails from Australia and is a performer, businesswoman, inventor and model. Following her start in her home country, she eventually moved to Hollywood and found great success there. George is a native of Perth in Western Australia was originally interested in dance as well as artistic roller skating. George began her modeling career when she was in her teens and she was named the title of Western Australia's Teenage Model in 1992. The actress made her debut on screen next year, in the episode of Seven Network s soap opera Home and Away . She had her big-screen debut in the mystery thriller Dark City and essayed various supporting roles in projects like Alias The Limey and Down with Love before making her debut as a lead female character in the mainstream Hollywood production in 2005's remake of The Amityville Horror .
